Located a beautiful half hour drive from Cabo San Lucas, along the
Pacific Coast and near the artist community of Todos Santos, lies the
eco resort, The Mayan Village. The Mayan Village is a solar powered, off
the grid, all natural beach front village with minimal foot print.
The Experience
Imagine laying in your comfortable king size bed, within an artfully crafted private cabaña, enjoying full view of the ocean and sand, and the sound of the rolling waves. That alone is an experience in itself.
The his and her bathrooms are a shear delight, with the feeling of showering in an open garden. Each shower emanates off live coconut palm trees and is surrounded by a setting of banana palms and bougainvillea. This provides a very private setting. All water from the shower feeds directly back into the garden and waters our live plants.
This is not for the arm chair tourist and is not the Holiday Inn. This is a true Mexican surf experience. The artists and designers have thought of every way to use the local renewable products and to minimize the resorts footprint. An eco resort crafted by local artisans using native materials, offering a salt water pool, solar power and recycled water.
Activities
There are many great things to do when visiting Mayan Village Resort.
Cerritos Beach is well known for it’s exceptional surfing. It is also the only swimmable beach on the Pacific for hundreds of miles.
There’s also plenty of fishing options. Rent a pole, spear fishing gear or panga boat. The boats from Cabo rarely go up this far, so you can enjoy the uncrowded ocean for exceptional fishing. When the whales come through the waters are thick with these giant mammals. Watching whales from Cerritos beach is absolutely fascinating and thrilling to see.
The area offers horseback riding, ATV or mountain bike rentals, endless dessert or beach hiking with breathtaking destinations. The Sierra De Laguna nature preserve is right in our back yard. The nearby waterfalls is a beautiful and refreshing destination point for an ATV ride.
Just over the hill from us is the beautiful freshwater lagoon of Palm Beach.
Take a 10 minute drive and explore the artist colony and historic town of Todos Santos, it’s just a few miles north of us. First class restaurants, art galleries, shops, book store, local crafts, coffee shops and bars are just some of the reasons you will fall in love with this adorable and quaint town. Here you will find the friendliest people on the Baja.
